Counseling

Through counseling, we might look at deeply held belief systems, habits, explore family traumas, coping techniques, or dive into thought/relationship patterns that are creating blocks. I consider myself an attachment-focused practitioner and we will connect many experiences through this lens.

Confidential, client-focused counseling services provided in areas that include, but are not limited to: Developmental Trauma, Shame, Women’s Health, Chronic Stress, Life Transitions, Low Motivation, Anxiety, Grief, Depression, Relationships, Self Esteem, Spirituality, Trauma and Maternal Mental Health.

Do you take insurance?

Insurance coverage is only available for counseling services. Currently, I'm in-network provider with Aetna and Highmark BCBS. This does not guarantee coverage, it all depends on your individual plan. If you have a different insurance, services may be covered in part by your health insurance for an “out-of-network” provider. Many of my clients find ways to access their “out-of-network” benefits and Health Spending Accounts (HSAs), Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), or Health Reimbursement Accounts (HRA) to cover the costs of their therapy. I recommend that you check with your insurance company to determine possible reimbursement prior to scheduling an appointment. Invoices can be provided by request. 

It is important for my clients to be knowledgeable about the insurance claim process for their services. I understand that navigating through insurance claims can be difficult so I have listed some questions you may want to ask your insurance company:

  • Do I have mental health benefits?

  • What is my deductible and has it been met?

  • How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover?

  • How much does my plan cover for an out-of-network provider?

  • Do I have a copay for each session?

  • Do you cover session code 90837?

  • Do I have coverage for telehealth or virtual visits?

What is the investment for a session?

Sessions are $145/55 min.

What method of payment do you accept?

I accept Health Savings Account (HSA) cards, credit cards, cash and checks. A credit card is required to be on file in order to book an appointment.

Please note: In accordance with the No Surprises Act (passed in January of 2022), all clients are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) Impact Summary upon request and before first appointment.

Where are you located?

A majority of sessions are held online. My office is located in The Commons on Silverside Road. Enter the complex, turn left and drive all the way around to the back. Once inside please wait in the waiting room upon entering.

What is your cancellation policy?

I require 24 hours notice for cancellations/reschedules to avoid paying for a missed session. 

I’m already a client. How do I access the Client Portal?

First, a reminder about what you can do in the client portal. The portal is a HIPPA compliant space where you can cancel and request appointments, direct message, view statements, make payments, fill out paperwork and access links for your video appointment. The button below will take you there.
